Our Favourite 2014 Superbowl Adverts

The "Superbowl" has always been the biggest and most extravagant sporting event in the world, and this year was no exception. Millions of viewers tune in every year, which means that the adverts which are broadcasted need to be as eye-catching and creative as possible. Here we pick our top 3 favourite adverts from the Superbowl and explain why we love them as much as we do.

Budweiser - "Puppy Love"

There aren't many who would make a link between beer and puppies, but Budweiser hit the nail on the head with this advert, showcasing a puppy's friendship with a Clydesdale horse. It's a strange idea for a male dominated audience and brand, but Budweiser executed this perfectly and certainly pulled on the heartstrings of many male American Football fans. After all, who doesn't love puppies?

The advert also has over 48 million views on YouTube. We aren't the only ones that love it.

Radio Shack - "The Phone Call"

We love the absolute self awareness that this Radio Shack ad portrays, as famous 80's icons like Hulk Hogan, Chucky and Alf storm into the store to reclaim all their old technology, such as video players, cassettes and even all the outdated furniture! This advert is Radio Shack paving their way for the future, which is a tough knack when you have 'radio' in your brand name.

Microsoft - "Empowering"

Technology is a wonderful thing, and Microsoft did a great job in showing how it affects your daily life and interactions. It's a gentle reminder just how far technology has come lately, and Microsoft has played an important part in the advancements. It's an advert that gives you a sense of power, hence the tagline, as well as proof that technology can affect everyone in different walks of life. Overall, there was a good selection of adverts at this year's Superbowl, but these three stood out to us the most. We're already looking forward to next year
